I sit here and contemplate my long arduous day, wondering what roles I played. I had to be mom and take care of my two adorable young school aged children. I also was an adoring wife and sent my husband off to work this morning with a smile. Work time came around for myself and I was transformed into hard working dedicated employee. A friend in need called my little black samsung phone and instantly I became dependable attentive confidant. On another day I could just as well be a devoted daughter and or loving sister. Are any one of these roles who I am or what define me as a person? I know...I know ... deep thoughts on a work and school night. I can't help but wonder which role is really me or if all of them play a part of what makes me who I am. It is this same question which motivates me into shaping the heroine and heroes of my stories. I try to discover which identity is the source for individual personalities. For some the role of a mother takes precedence over all others. What of those characters that have no true identity. If not someone's mother, sister, daughter, or wife, then who are they? How do you decide who you are or who your characters are meant to be?
